Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current Michigan Teaching Certificate with Math Endorsement (please include valid license/certifications when applying)
  • Experience teaching high school mathematics (grades 9-12 preferred)
  • Comprehensive understanding of high school math curriculum, instructional strategies, and classroom management
  • Ability to create inclusive, engaging classroom experiences for a wide range of learners
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver daily math instruction aligned with school standards and student needs
  • Develop engaging lesson plans that encourage critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Assess student progress, provide timely feedback, and adjust instruction as necessary
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student growth and classroom initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievement, and behavior
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive learning atmosphere

This position offers a contract beginning August 24, 2026 and running through June 4, 2027, at 37.5 hours per week in a collaborative academic setting.
