What you bring:

• Previous classroom experience as a general education teacher in elementary, middle, or high school settings
• A genuine enthusiasm for teaching chess, robotics, and/or coding to diverse age groups
• Strong communication skills to motivate and instruct students of varying abilities
• Reliable transportation with flexibility to commute to various campuses across Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia
• Comfort adapting to different school environments and collaborating with staff
• Organization and time management skills to balance responsibilities across multiple locations

What you’ll do:

• Lead engaging after-school sessions (5–10 hours per week, typically 3–6pm) for groups of students
• Create a fun, inclusive classroom culture where all learners feel valued
• Guide hands-on robotics and coding activities, teach foundational chess strategy, and encourage problem-solving
• Adapt lesson plans to varied grade levels (K–12) and student needs
