ELA Teacher in Arvada, CO

Inspire middle school minds and foster a love for literature as a dedicated ELA Teacher for 6th–8th grade students. This is a full-time contract position serving a single classroom of engaged young learners, offering the chance to shape their educational journey and enhance their reading and writing skills. The assignment begins ASAP and continues through May 2027, providing a stable and rewarding teaching opportunity.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Colorado SPED Certificate required
• Experience teaching English Language Arts at the middle school level (grades 6–8) strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of general education curriculum, especially ELA standards and differentiated instruction
• Ability to create inclusive, supportive, and dynamic classroom environments
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for fostering academic curiosity and student growth

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and implement engaging ELA lessons in alignment with Colorado standards
• Adapt instructional approaches to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom culture
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student development
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and interventions as needed
• Support IEP and 504 plan implementation in collaboration with special education staff
