Qualifications:

• Valid Colorado Special Education Certificate required
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or related field
• Previous experience teaching ELA in a general education setting, preferably with middle school students
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans aligned with grade-level standards
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom community

Responsibilities:

• Deliver dynamic ELA instruction to one middle school classroom (grades 6-8)
• Develop and implement lesson plans in accordance with curriculum guidelines
• Assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet a variety of learning needs
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to support student success
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance
• Communicate effectively with families regarding academic progress and classroom initiatives
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as needed
