You’ll introduce Grade 7 students to Spanish and guide eighth graders through Spanish I—a foundational course that qualifies for high school credit. If you value flexibility, you’ll appreciate that the schedule can be tailored, ideally aligning with the last two periods of the day from 1:11 to 2:33, but some adjustments can be made to fit your needs.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in General Education with a Spanish language endorsement or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Spanish to middle school students is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in classroom management and creating engaging lesson plans
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire student participation
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for all learners

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver interactive Spanish instruction to Grade 7 and Grade 8 students
  • Prepare and implement engaging lesson plans that adhere to curriculum standards
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to enrich the learning experience
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement and participation
