English as a Second Language (ESL) Gen Ed Teacher - Blue Springs, Missouri

Step into an important role making a positive difference for multilingual learners in an elementary setting near Blue Springs, MO. This contract opportunity focuses on supporting K-5 students representing a wide spectrum of academic English proficiency and diverse cultural backgrounds.

In this role, you will be responsible for guiding students with varying WIDA ACCESS scores, including those progressing toward a composite 4.7 required for ELL program exit. You’ll provide targeted English language instruction, manage groups at each grade level four days per week, and dedicate Wednesdays to program coordination and collaboration with classroom teachers. Some students may also qualify for special education, offering opportunities for interdisciplinary teamwork and expanded impact.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid Missouri K-12 certification in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) or ELL (English Language Learners)
• Experience teaching or supporting ELL/ESOL learners in elementary grades preferred
• Strong understanding of WIDA standards and assessment practices
• Ability to differentiate instruction across a broad academic and linguistic spectrum
• Collaborative approach to working with general education and special education staff
• Organizational skills to handle schedules, caseloads, and documentation efficiently

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, standards-based English language instruction to K-5 ELL students
• Organize and instruct grade-level group sessions (four per week)
• Participate in program management tasks, data monitoring, and reporting
• Serve as a resource and coach to classroom teachers supporting ELL students
