Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a long-term substitute teaching computer literacy and technology concepts to engaged 6th-grade students. This is an onsite role at the junior high level, beginning August 17, 2026 and concluding June 2, 2027. You’ll lead a classroom of fewer than 20 students, guiding them through fundamental computer science skills and encouraging digital confidence—all in a supportive school environment that values student-centered approaches.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) required
• Prior experience teaching computer science or related technology content
• Demonstrated history of consistent, successful roles in education
• Preferential consideration for candidates with high school teaching experience
• Committed to prioritizing student growth and engagement over curriculum checklist
• Strong classroom management and adaptable communication style
• Passion for fostering future-ready digital learners

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver computer literacy and technology lessons to 6th-grade students using best-practice pedagogy
• Create a positive, inclusive, and interactive classroom environment
• Adapt instructional approaches to meet diverse student needs and learning styles
• Monitor and document student progress, communicating effectively with staff and parents
• Collaborate with school staff to support overall student development
• Maintain a focus on building essential digital skills applicable to academic and real-world settings
