A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated educator with a strong background in science to serve as a Health Science Teacher at the junior high level. This contract position runs through May 21, 2027, and offers the chance to make a significant difference in students’ lives by inspiring and educating young minds in the fields of health science, chemistry, anatomy, or general science.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching license and Professional Educator License (PEL) are required (substitute licensure is not permitted).
  • Proven classroom teaching experience, preferably in health science, science, chemistry, or anatomy.
  • Health science endorsement strongly preferred, though closely related science endorsements will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage, motivate, and connect with junior high students.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective instruction in health science and related subjects to junior high students in a classroom setting.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and prepare students for success.
  • Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school initiatives as needed.

Additional Details:

  • Full-time, on-site position; remote or virtual work is not available.
  • Fixed weekly schedule totaling 33.75 hours.
  • Only one position is available.
