Grades 9 - 12 Science Teacher in Cambridge, MA

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid teaching certification in general education for grades 9-12 (Science emphasis preferred)
• Experience teaching biology and/or science to high school students
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to develop and adapt lesson plans that meet curriculum standards
• Enthusiasm for supporting the academic and social development of adolescents

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver interactive and well-structured biology lessons to 9th grade students
• Incorporate a variety of instructional strategies and technology to reach diverse learners
• Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, and examinations
• Provide timely feedback and maintain accurate records of student achievement
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student progress and classroom activities
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom atmosphere
• Participate in departmental meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities
