Step into an inspiring setting and make a meaningful impact as a middle school math teacher in a supportive contract role. This full-time, onsite opportunity runs from August 24, 2026, to June 10, 2027, offering 35 hours per week within the core school day (8:30 AM–4:00 PM). Take on a caseload of general education middle school math students, with collaboration from specialized support colleagues for any students who may require individualized services.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Designing and delivering engaging math lessons aligned with current state and district standards
- Utilizing formative assessment and differentiated instruction to address diverse learning needs
- Demonstrating a strong command of mathematics content, classroom management, and effective teaching strategies
- Developing and maintaining a positive, structured classroom environment in an urban educational setting
- Collaborating with other teachers, especially special education staff, to ensure all students succeed
- Completing all required Pennsylvania clearances and maintaining active certification/licensure
- Ensuring consistent, punctual onsite presence with reliable transportation
Background and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum) required; must qualify for emergency teaching permit if needed
- Valid, active teaching certification for the required grade and subject area
- Previous experience teaching in schools, with a preference for urban environments
- Proven strength in classroom and behavioral management
- Comfortable adhering to fixed on-site hours; schedule accommodations are not available
