High School Middle School General Education Teacher | Chevy Chase, Maryland

Exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator eager to inspire young minds beyond the standard classroom! This contract position calls for a versatile teacher to lead engaging after-school programs in chess, robotics, and coding across various campuses. You'll work part-time with students from kindergarten through 12th grade, creating a dynamic and inclusive environment that fosters curiosity and critical thinking.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience teaching in elementary, middle, and/or high school settings
• Ability to design and deliver interactive lessons in chess, robotics, and coding
• Passion for working with students across all grade levels (K-12)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Willingness and flexibility to travel to multiple school locations throughout Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia
• Reliable transportation for commuting to approximately ten different campuses
• Availability after school, Monday through Friday, during 3–4pm, 4–5pm, or possibly 5–6pm time slots

Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan and facilitate enrichment sessions in chess, robotics, and coding for groups of K-12 students
• Adapt activities to a range of ages and skill levels, ensuring an engaging experience for all participants
• Collaborate with school staff to coordinate logistics and session schedules
• Track attendance, monitor student progress, and provide feedback
• Create a supportive, safe, and fun learning environment
