Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an Art endorsement for at least grades 5 and 6 (please ensure your licensure is current and meets these requirements).
• Experience teaching general education or art within upper elementary or middle grades strongly preferred.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Exceptional ability to connect with diverse learners and foster a nurturing, encouraging educational environment.
• A passion for helping students explore self-expression and build foundational art skills.

Role Responsibilities:

• Take charge of a 5th and 6th grade art classroom, designing engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons.
• Administer and grade tests, evaluate student progress, and maintain clear documentation of student performance.
• Deliver effective, standards-based direct instruction tailored to different learning styles.
• Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support schoolwide initiatives and student success.

Pay for this role ranges from $37.50 to $46.75 per hour, depending on experience, degree level, and licensure.
