Grades K - 5 Physical Education Teacher in Chicago, IL

What You’ll Bring:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Physical Education (PE) endorsement, covering at least PK-4th grade (licensure required for consideration)
• Experience as a General Education teacher or Physical Education instructor in a school environment
• Ability to design and deliver age-appropriate PE lessons for students at various developmental stages
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment where every child participates and feels valued

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and implement engaging physical education curriculum activities for PK–4th grade students
• Run the classroom effectively, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical fitness
• Deliver direct instruction, model proper skills, and encourage healthy lifestyles
• Develop, administer, and grade assessments to monitor student progress and achievement
• Maintain accurate records and collaborate with other educators for student success
• Ensure a safe environment by adhering to school policies and offering positive behavioral support
