You’ll contribute as part of an educational community focused on student progress and well-being, delivering high-quality general education instruction tailored for junior high. Your day will run from 7:30AM to 2:21PM, creating a consistent schedule with afternoons free to plan, collaborate, or recharge. The position begins August 26, 2026, and continues through June 3, 2027.
What you’ll bring:
- Active Illinois teaching license and required certifications, including a CTE endorsement
- Demonstrated school-based teaching experience
- Enthusiasm for providing general education and participating in a vibrant academic setting
- Ability to design and deliver effective, engaging lessons that address diverse student needs
- Professionalism and reliability, supporting a positive, collaborative atmosphere
Primary responsibilities:
- Provide general education instruction to junior high students in line with district and state standards
- Facilitate an inclusive, respectful classroom climate
- Utilize data to assess student progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to optimize student learning
- Engage in required school meetings, parent communication, and professional development
