English as a Second Language (ESL) Gen Ed Teacher - Cicero, Illinois

An opportunity is available for an English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher at a high school located in Cicero, IL. This full-time, contract position operates Monday through Friday from 7:55 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The role involves supporting students in general education settings by delivering specialized ESL instruction that enhances language proficiency and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored English language instruction to high school students
• Collaborate with general education teachers to integrate ESL strategies across the curriculum
• Assess and monitor student progress in language acquisition
• Develop lesson plans that meet state standards and address diverse learner needs
• Maintain accurate records and communicate student progress to parents and administrators

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with English as a Second Language endorsement
• Experience teaching ESL in a high school setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to create an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment
