What You’ll Need:

• A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a passenger endorsement
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check
• Prior experience driving a school bus or similar large vehicle is highly valued
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with students, families, and school staff
• Flexibility for early morning and afternoon schedules, with availability for extra hours when necessary
• A patient, reliable attitude, and genuine commitment to student safety

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport students to and from school, as well as extracurricular events
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus meets all safety requirements
• Maintain a tidy and organized bus environment
• Support and enforce a positive, safe atmosphere for students during transit
• Communicate effectively with school officials, parents, and students regarding transportation logistics and any arising concerns
• Address any student conduct issues promptly and appropriately
• Report maintenance needs or safety incidents according to policy
