ELA Gen Ed Teacher - Cuyahoga Falls, OH

Qualifications & Experience:

• Hold an active state teaching certification/license in English Language Arts appropriate for high school levels (7–12 or 9–12).
• Demonstrated experience teaching in a high school setting is highly preferred.
• Strong communication abilities and a passion for fostering student growth.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, and parents.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging ELA instruction that aligns with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
• Assess student performance regularly, maintain thorough and accurate grade records, and differentiate instruction to accommodate varying learning styles.
• Establish and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages respectful interaction and academic success.
• Coordinate with colleagues and administrators to address student needs, and communicate student progress and concerns with parents and guardians.
• Participate in professional development and departmental activities to enhance instructional strategies and stay current with educational best practices.
