What We're Looking For:

• Active Elementary Teaching Certification
• Previous classroom experience, preferably in general education at the elementary level

What You’ll Do Each Day:

• Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans in alignment with curriculum standards
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction to promote growth for all learners
• Cultivate an encouraging, safe, and respectful learning atmosphere
• Engage with students, families, and colleagues to support ongoing educational success
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance
• Participate in school activities and collaborate with fellow educators to enhance the overall experience

Position Details:

• 2nd grade classroom assignment for the remainder of the school year
• Manage a class of 19 students, with room for growth (maximum 28 by contract)
• Scheduled hours: 8:35 AM to 3:35 PM, Monday through Friday, with a half-hour unpaid lunch (32.5 hours weekly)
