Math Math Teacher in Dearborn, MI

This full-time, contract position offers the chance to foster mathematical growth in a dedicated 6th grade classroom, working alongside passionate educators. The role starts as soon as possible and runs through the end of the school year, with the possibility of extending into the next school year as well.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in General Education or Math (required)
• Proven experience delivering math instruction at the 6th grade or middle school level
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to engage and motivate diverse groups of learners
• Familiarity with current curriculum standards and differentiated instruction
• Comfortable collaborating with colleagues, staff, and families to support student success

Core Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver daily math lessons aligned with grade-level standards
• Assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture
• Communicate regularly with parents and staff regarding student achievements and needs
• Participate in professional development, grade-level meetings, and school initiatives
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress
