General Education Teacher | East Orange, New Jersey

This full-time position is for a General Education Teacher working onsite in East Orange, NJ, specializing in supporting middle school students with emotional and behavioral challenges. The role involves working closely with students exhibiting maladaptive behaviors to provide targeted one-on-one support. The position is contracted through June 19, 2026, with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to middle school students with emotional regulation impairments (ERI) as part of a specialized program
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to assist with instructional activities and classroom management
• Support students exhibiting maladaptive behaviors by implementing strategies to improve their engagement and learning
• Assist with behavioral interventions as outlined by the school's support plans
• Help maintain a positive and structured learning environment to encourage student success

• Experience working with middle school students in general education settings
• Familiarity with behavioral interventions and emotional regulation support strategies
• Ability to work effectively 1:1 with students who require targeted behavioral assistance

Location and Schedule:
