What You’ll Need:

• Master’s degree in Library Information Science
• Valid SCDE licensure with media specialist/librarian endorsement, or a reciprocal license from another state
• Proven experience with middle and/or high school students in a library or educational setting
• Strong organizational and communication abilities
• Skilled in integrating technology, research platforms, and library management systems
• Collaborative mindset and a passion for supporting diverse learners

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain an engaging, inclusive school library environment that encourages student curiosity and independent learning
• Guide students and staff in effective research strategies, digital literacy, and responsible use of information
• Curate print and digital collections to support curriculum goals and student interests
• Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate library resources into lesson planning
• Manage library operations, including circulation, cataloging, and inventory
• Organize events, reading challenges, and technology workshops to engage students school-wide
• Support students with varying abilities and backgrounds, fostering equitable access to information
