Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid teaching license in at least one of the following areas:
  • Mathematics (PRAXIS 5161)
  • Biology (PRAXIS 5235)
  • Chemistry (PRAXIS 5235)
  • General/Physical Science (PRAXIS 5135)
  • Engineering/Industrial Technology (CTE Certification)
  • Related STEM field (Considered on a case-by-case basis)
• Proven classroom experience as a general education teacher highly preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect and motivate high school students
• Familiarity with current STEM curriculum and instructional best practices

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive STEM lesson plans tailored to diverse learners
• Instruct high school students in assigned STEM subjects, ensuring alignment with educational standards
• Foster an inclusive, productive classroom environment that encourages creativity and academic achievement
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support growth
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to design interdisciplinary projects and improve instructional strategies
