Pre K Physical Education Gen Ed Teacher - Glenwood, IL

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Physical Education Teacher for PK-4th grade students. Key Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Physical Education endorsement covering at least PK-4th grade
• Experience in general education teaching, preferably within grades PreK through 5
• Strong classroom management skills and a passion for fostering a positive, energetic learning environment
• Ability to administer assessments, grade student work, and adjust instruction to meet student needs
• Commitment to engaging students in physical activity and promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and lifelong fitness

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily classroom activities for students in PK-4th grade Physical Education courses
• Develop and deliver dynamic lessons aligned with curriculum standards, encouraging active participation and skill development
• Administer, proctor, and grade tests and assessments
• Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress
• Foster an inclusive, encouraging atmosphere that values each child’s abilities
• Collaborate with colleagues and support school-wide initiatives when needed
