What we’re seeking:

• Active Louisiana Department of Education (DOE) Certification. (Temporary Authority to Teach or in-process licensure will not be considered)
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest in teaching science at the high school level
• Ability to quickly integrate into a new school setting and establish positive relationships with students and staff
• Willingness to travel between campuses as needed (assignment details to be determined)
• Commitment to completing all district credentialing steps, including a drug screen and fingerprinting, in addition to agency requirements

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering dynamic, standards-aligned science instruction to high school students
• Creating an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
• Utilizing assessments to inform instruction and monitor student progress
• Collaborating with faculty, staff, and administration to promote student success
• Effectively managing classroom routines and addressing the needs of a diverse student population
• Adhering to the full-time schedule (35 hours/week, Monday–Friday with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, following the school calendar)
