Gen Ed Teacher - Hartford, Connecticut

This contract opportunity, conveniently located near Hartford, CT, allows you to use your bilingual abilities to foster academic growth in a supportive school community. Working three days per week, you’ll help English Language Learners achieve success in both language development and general education subjects.

What you bring:

• Fluency in both English and Spanish, with strong communication skills
• Valid state teaching certificate
• TESOL or bilingual education endorsement
• Completion of required education, preparation, and exam credentials
• Experience supporting students from multilingual backgrounds
• Passion for inclusive education and culturally responsive teaching

Your responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction to English Language Learners, supporting both language acquisition and academic progress
• Adapt and differentiate curriculum to meet the varied needs of students
• Collaborate with general education faculty to support integration and achievement for ELL students
• Assess language proficiency and monitor students’ progress, maintaining accurate records
• Maintain open, supportive communication with students and their families
• Foster a welcoming classroom culture that values diversity and encourages participation
