Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active Louisiana Department of Education Teaching Certificate required (please note: Temporary Authority to Teach or Teaching Authorization is not accepted)
• Strong knowledge of mathematics curriculum and effective teaching strategies for high school students
• Ability to adapt lessons to varied learning levels in a general education setting
• Professionalism in maintaining classroom management and timely documentation
• Previous experience in general education math instruction is highly valued
• Compliance with all district credentialing requirements, including drug screening and fingerprinting

Core Responsibilities:

• Facilitate engaging math instruction to high school students, tailoring lessons to diverse learning needs
• Implement school-approved curricula and contribute to a positive academic environment
• Communicate progress and collaborate with staff, administration, and families as needed
• Participate in department meetings and ongoing professional development as required
• Manage assigned caseload and follow all school policies and procedures
• Work Monday through Friday, following the district's academic calendar (35 hours per week, 7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
