Primary responsibilities center on delivering engaging English Language Learner instruction to a caseload of approximately 20 students, focusing predominantly on grades K-4. Occasionally, you may extend your expertise to older students in grades 5-12, offering support wherever it is most needed. Your role will foster language development, comprehension, and academic success in a collaborative school environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in General Education (K-12) or a related field.
- Prior experience as a general education or ELL/ESL teacher preferred.
- Strong command of English language instruction.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction for learners at various proficiency levels.
- Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement instructional plans tailored to ELL students, primarily K-4.
- Assess student language abilities and adjust approaches to meet learning needs.
- Provide direct instruction, interventions, and support in English Language Arts.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure consistent progress and support for ELL students.
- Complete required documentation and maintain records in accordance with school guidelines.
- Flexibility to assist grades 5-12 as needed.
