In this contract-based opportunity near Independence, MO, you'll engage with 30+ ELL students distributed across all elementary grades. You'll collaborate with classroom teachers and provide targeted language support, using Missouri's annual WIDA ACCESS test as a foundational assessment tool. Wednesdays are set aside for program planning and coaching colleagues, offering you the chance to shape curriculum and mentor others.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current Missouri K-12 ESOL or ELL teaching certificate (required)
• Experience with WIDA ACCESS evaluation and ELL instructional strategies
• Familiarity with the needs of students at various academic English proficiency levels
• Ability to collaborate with teachers and manage small group instruction
• Compassion for learners and adaptability to a varied caseload

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized English language instruction to elementary-aged ELL students across grades K-5
• Assess student progress using WIDA ACCESS data to inform instruction and exit criteria
• Coordinate with special education teams for students with dual services
• Lead at least one instructional group per grade level, four days weekly
• Dedicate Wednesdays to coordinating ELL program operations and providing coaching to classroom teachers
