Gen Ed Teacher - Joliet, Illinois

Essential Qualifications:

• Valid teaching licensure and certification for the state of Illinois
• CTE endorsement required
• Prior experience in a school-based setting
• Strong grasp of general education teaching principles and instructional methods
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to adapt lessons to varied learning styles

Responsibilities:

• Deliver effective instruction across the general education curriculum for students in a junior high setting
• Develop daily lesson plans that align with state standards and individual student needs
• Assess student progress, providing both formal evaluations and informal feedback
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom culture
• Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and families to maximize student success
• Participate in professional development and any required school meetings
• Uphold school policies and maintain accurate records of attendance and grades

• Contract role
• Full-time hours, Monday through Friday (7:30AM - 2:21PM)
• One opening available
• On-site at a junior high school near Joliet, IL
• Interviews are 30 minutes in duration
