Science Gen Ed Teacher - Kenner, LA

Starting as soon as possible and running through May 27, 2027, this position offers a stable, full-time schedule aligned with the local school calendar.

What we’re looking for:

• Active Louisiana Department of Education Certification in secondary science (not accepting Temporary Authority to Teach certificates).
• Experience teaching high school science in a general education setting preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with high school students, maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Strong communication and organizational skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators.
• Flexibility to adapt to evolving school assignments and caseloads as needed.
• Full compliance with all district credentialing requirements, including passing a drug screening and fingerprint background check.

Your primary duties will include:

• Developing and delivering engaging science instruction that meets state standards.
• Creating a supportive, inclusive classroom environment for high school students.
• Assessing student progress and tailoring instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
