Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active Louisiana DOE Certification (temporary teaching credentials not accepted)
• Demonstrated subject matter knowledge in high school level Math
• Previous experience in general education preferred
• Prepared to undergo district-specific background checks, including a drug screen and fingerprinting, prior to start
• Ability to adapt to varying school assignments and caseload details (to be determined upon assignment)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging Math instruction to high school students, tailoring methods to diverse learning styles and needs
• Collaborate with colleagues to support a cohesive educational environment and implement school-wide initiatives
• Foster a supportive classroom climate that encourages student participation, inquiry, and academic growth
• Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adapting strategies to enhance achievement
• Maintain thorough records and communicate with parents, staff, and administrators as needed

Schedule & Commitment:

• Full-time, contract-based role in the New Orleans area
• 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday (7 hours daily plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
• Position aligns with the school calendar from early August 2026 through late May 2027
