Key Qualifications:

• Valid, current teaching license in the State of South Carolina—required
• Previous experience teaching social studies or general education in school settings strongly preferred
• Ability to create dynamic lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Innovative, enthusiastic approach to curriculum delivery and student engagement

Responsibilities:

• Teach social studies classes Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week (7:15am–2:45pm), following the established academic calendar through May 21, 2027
• Develop and implement lesson plans in accordance with district and state standards
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing interventions as necessary to meet individual needs
• Collaborate closely with colleagues, support staff, and administration to enrich student experience
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
• Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and parent communications as needed
