Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Louisiana Spanish/Foreign Language Educator Certificate authorizing instruction at the high school level
  • Demonstrated experience as a classroom or general education teacher, preferably working with secondary students
  • Strong command of Spanish language and culture, with the ability to create immersive, interactive lessons
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit for working with colleagues and families
  • Commitment to student growth, differentiated instruction, and a positive classroom culture

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Spanish language instruction to high school students, following curriculum guidelines
  • Assess and track student progress, adapting lessons to meet varying learning needs
  • Create an encouraging and respectful classroom atmosphere to promote language acquisition
  • Manage classroom behavior while fostering student participation and enthusiasm
  • Collaborate with staff on instructional strategies and school initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with school policies and state requirements
