English as a Second Language (ESL) General Education Teacher | Liberty, Missouri

Make a difference in the lives of multilingual learners in a diverse K-5 setting near Liberty, MO. This is a contract opportunity that supports students developing English proficiency, working collaboratively within a dynamic school environment. The ELL/ESL teacher will engage directly with just over 30 students spanning Kindergarten through Grade 5, with groups organized by grade level for targeted instruction four days a week. Wednesdays are dedicated to program management and providing coaching for classroom teachers, fostering a supportive academic community.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Missouri K-12 ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) or ELL (English Language Learners) certification is required.
• Experience with WIDA ACCESS assessments and an understanding of the WIDA proficiency scale is highly valued.
• Familiarity with differentiated instruction for students at varying English proficiency levels.
• Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers and contribute to both individual and group student growth.
• Experience or comfort working with elementary students, especially those who may also receive special education services.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, effective ESL instruction to elementary students at multiple English proficiency levels.
• Utilize program data, including annual WIDA ACCESS results, to inform instructional planning.
• Organize and facilitate at least one instructional group per grade level, four days per week.
• Manage program operations and support classroom teachers with coaching every Wednesday.
• Maintain detailed records and actively contribute to meetings regarding students who may have additional special education needs.
