Key Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching certificate (candidates must hold an active certificate at time of application; applications with pending or in-progress certifications cannot be considered)
  • Experience teaching science or a related subject at the middle school level is strongly preferred
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create engaging, standards-based lesson plans and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Clear communicator and collaborative team member eager to contribute to a positive school culture

Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering high-quality, grade-appropriate science instruction to middle school students onsite
  • Creating and implementing daily lesson plans that promote inquiry and critical thinking
  • Assessing student progress regularly and providing constructive feedback
  • Collaborating with fellow educators and staff to enhance curriculum and support student success
  • Participating in school events, professional development, and meetings as required

This is a full-time contract position available immediately through May 2027, giving you the opportunity to truly connect and grow with your students. The middle school science classroom is set in a supportive, innovative charter school environment near Longmont, Colorado.
