Teacher in Media, PA

Ignite a passion for mathematics in middle school students by stepping into a dynamic contract role as a General Education Teacher for the upcoming school year! Based onsite and full-time, you’ll inspire learners and shape their skills from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027. This opportunity involves teaching primarily general education students in a middle school math setting; while there may be a mix of students with special education needs, dedicated SPED teachers will provide necessary support.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid, active certification or licensure for the assigned caseload
• Bachelor’s degree required (emergency teaching permit may be issued with a degree)
• Prior experience teaching in schools, ideally with urban student populations
• Mastery of middle school mathematics content, strong instructional skills, and effective use of resources
• Demonstrated excellence in classroom and behavioral management
• Ability to create lesson plans aligned with current standards, utilizing formative assessment and differentiation
• Comfortable and collaborative working within district and school environments
• Completion of all Pennsylvania clearances prior to start
• Reliable transportation for onsite attendance
• Available to work 8:30 AM–4:00 PM; schedule variations cannot be accommodated

What You'll Do:

• Deliver engaging math instruction to general education classrooms
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state and district guidelines
• Employ strong classroom management strategies to foster a positive learning environment
• Assess student progress, adapting instruction as needed
• Collaborate with support staff, particularly for students with special needs
