General Education Teacher | Media, Pennsylvania

This full-time, onsite contract runs from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, offering the opportunity to guide and inspire a classroom of general education students, with the potential to collaborate with special education colleagues as needed. Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active teaching certification or licensure appropriate for middle school science
• Bachelor’s degree (required for emergency teaching permit)
• Previous experience working in a school setting
• Demonstrated mastery of science content, instructional skills, and resource materials
• Strong classroom and behavioral management abilities, especially within an urban setting
• Reliable transportation to ensure punctual arrival between 8:30AM and 4PM (exact hours required; schedule accommodations are not available)
• Competency with current state and district academic standards, lesson differentiation, and formative assessment
• Experience adapting to diverse student populations
• Full completion of all required Pennsylvania clearances

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver dynamic science instruction aligned with curriculum standards
• Employ formative assessments to drive instruction and promote growth
• Create differentiated lesson plans to meet all students’ needs
• Cultivate a positive classroom atmosphere supported by effective management strategies
• Work collaboratively with special education staff when required
