Step into an engaging, full-time opportunity as a high school math educator in a contract role designed for motivated professionals passionate about making a difference in the classroom. With two openings available for immediate start and a schedule that runs through June 10, 2027, this onsite position covers 35 hours per week, exclusively serving general education students, with special education students supported by a designated SPED teacher as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required; necessary for an emergency teaching permit
  • Active teaching certification or licensure appropriate for the high school math caseload
  • Previous school-based teaching experience is essential
  • Demonstrated expertise in subject matter, instructional design, and use of resource materials
  • Proven strength in classroom management and behavioral interventions
  • Experience working effectively within an urban educational setting
  • Reliable transportation and readiness to work onsite daily between 8:30 AM and 4 PM
  • Full completion of Pennsylvania clearances required

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver dynamic lesson plans in line with state and district standards
  • Employ formative assessment and differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Maintain a safe, structured classroom conducive to academic success
  • Collaborate with colleagues—including special education staff—to provide cohesive support
