General Education Teacher | Media, Pennsylvania

Step into a dynamic educational setting as a General Education Teacher supporting middle school science instruction. This contract opportunity offers a full-time schedule (35 hours per week), beginning as soon as possible and extending through June 10, 2027. The assignment is fully onsite, focusing on exclusively general education students, though you may collaborate with Special Education professionals when needed.

In this role, your expertise in subject matter and strategic use of instructional resources will be essential. You’ll create lesson plans aligned with current state and district standards, designing engaging lessons that utilize formative assessment and differentiation to inspire student achievement. Your strong classroom and behavioral management skills will ensure a positive, structured environment conducive to learning. Previous experience in urban educational settings and comfort in school environments similar to this one are highly valued.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required to obtain emergency teaching permit
• Active teaching certification/licensure appropriate for the assigned caseload
• Demonstrated mastery of general education instructional techniques and science subject matter
• Prior experience working in schools, particularly urban settings
• Ability to create and deliver standards-aligned lesson plans
• Strong classroom and behavioral management capabilities
• Reliable transportation and ability to be onsite between 8:30AM and 4PM
• Comfortable adapting to urban school environments
• Completion of all required Pennsylvania clearances

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality science instruction to middle school general education students
• Collaborate with Special Education teachers as needed
• Maintain detailed and effective lesson plans and instructional materials
