English General Education Teacher | Minneapolis, Minnesota

Join a dedicated school team near Minneapolis, MN as an English Language Learner (ELL) educator in a contract role focused on supporting diverse students. This .50 FTE position is designed for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about fostering English language development in elementary-aged learners.

In this role, you will:

• Work primarily with K-4 students, with possible support for Grades 5-12 as needed.
• Support a caseload of about 20 students, customizing instruction to meet individual student needs.
• Deliver engaging English language and general education lessons to promote language acquisition and academic achievement.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to adapt educational materials and strategies.
• Track student progress, maintain records, and communicate regularly with families and staff.
• Follow a preferred schedule of shortened days on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

We are seeking candidates who possess:

• Teaching certification in General Education, or eligibility for certification.
• Previous experience in ELL or English instruction within a school environment is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of instructional techniques for English language learners and diverse student populations.
• Adaptability and strong organizational skills to support students across grades and abilities.
• A collaborative attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom culture.
