Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification or licensure (or eligibility to obtain), preferably in Foreign Language or Mandarin Chinese
• Demonstrated proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, both written and spoken
• Experience teaching general education or world languages at the K–8 level is highly desirable
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering student engagement and collaboration
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional techniques to diverse learning needs

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging Mandarin Chinese lessons tailored to K–8 students
• Foster an immersive, respectful classroom that encourages language development and cultural exploration
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing meaningful feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Mandarin Chinese into interdisciplinary projects
• Participate in professional development sessions and school events as needed
• Maintain accurate records, lesson plans, and student portfolios
