Step into a rewarding contract opportunity shaping young minds as a dedicated Middle School English Language Arts instructor. This role focuses on engaging one 7th grade ELA section and three 6th grade ELA sections, all within a supportive educational environment. With a manageable caseload of no more than 20 students per class, you’ll be able to provide individualized attention and foster a love for reading and writing.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina teaching license (elementary endorsement acceptable)
- Experience teaching ELA at the middle or upper elementary level preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Enthusiasm for creating inclusive, dynamic, and literacy-rich classroom experiences
- Commitment to supporting student growth and achievement
What You’ll Do:
- Plan and deliver creative, standards-aligned ELA lessons for both 6th and 7th graders
- Foster a positive, encouraging environment that supports diverse learning styles
- Assess student understanding and adapt instruction to meet individual needs
- Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and administration to enhance the curriculum
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress
- Engage with students and families to promote academic and social success
This full-time contract runs from July 21, 2026, through May 27, 2027, covering the full school year on a 37.5 hour per week schedule.
