Key Qualifications:

• Current, active teaching licensure and certification in Illinois
• CTE (Career and Technical Education) endorsement required
• Demonstrated experience working in a school-based setting, particularly with junior high students
• Strong commitment to creating an engaging and supportive classroom atmosphere
• Excellent classroom management skills and a growth mindset
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents
• Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing classroom needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive general education curriculum to junior high students
• Develop lesson plans that engage, challenge, and support all learners
• Assess and document student progress, providing feedback and tailoring instruction as needed
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance learning outcomes
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and parent-teacher conferences
• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Foster student citizenship and support social-emotional development

• Full-time hours: 7:30AM – 2:21PM, Monday through Friday
