Gen Ed Teacher - Naval Anacost Annex, District of Columbia

A contract position is available for a Spanish teacher to cover a middle school Spanish class, located near Naval Anacost Annex, DC. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through June 16, 2027, offering a full-time, 40-hour work week.

Qualifications:

• Minimum two years of teaching experience, ideally with middle or high school students
• Strong proficiency in Spanish, with the ability to teach primarily in the target language
• Demonstrated skills in classroom management and the ability to engage diverse learners
• Experience supporting students with a variety of learning needs through differentiation strategies
• Collaborative mindset with effective communication skills for working alongside fellow teachers and the Language Team
• Ability to follow existing unit and lesson plans, while upholding high standards and consistency in the classroom
• Preferred (not required): Familiarity with IB MYP, proficiency-based language instruction, or inquiry-based teaching methodologies

• Deliver engaging Spanish instruction to middle school students, utilizing existing lesson materials
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom culture that respects diversity and supports all learners
