Mathematics General Education Teacher | New Orleans, Louisiana

As a General Education Math Teacher, you’ll inspire high school students, cultivate critical thinking skills, and foster a love for learning in a supportive and engaging setting.

Key Qualifications:

• Hold an active Louisiana Department of Education teaching certificate (required)
• Expertise in high school math curriculum and instruction
• Capacity for engaging diverse learners and differentiating instruction
• Ready to fully assume teaching duties on day one—district requires candidates to be already licensed
• Ability to pass required district drug screen and fingerprint background checks, in accordance with credentialing policies
• Excellent classroom management, collaboration, and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver effective math lessons in alignment with state and district standards
• Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support academic growth
• Collaborate with colleagues and school staff to ensure student success
• Foster a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment
• Maintain accurate and timely records related to attendance, grades, and student performance
• Adhere to school calendar and daily schedule: Monday through Friday, seven-hour instructional day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch
