Music Gen Ed Teacher - Norristown, Pennsylvania

A local school is seeking a dedicated Music Teacher for Kindergarten through 8th grade students for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, contract opportunity runs from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with hours set for 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

As the General Education Music Teacher, you’ll inspire creativity, foster musical growth, and help students discover the joy of music. You will design and implement meaningful, standards-based lessons, guide students in performance and appreciation, and collaborate with fellow educators in a supportive school community.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Music Teacher Certification (K-8 required)
• Will consider candidates with out-of-state certification or emergency certification who have prior teaching experience in music
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Music Education or related field
• Experience working with K-8 student populations
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Enthusiastic about building a positive, inclusive musical learning environment

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging general music curriculum for K-8 classrooms
• Organize and direct student musical performances or recitals
• Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Foster a culture of respect and creativity in the music classroom
• Integrate technology and innovative practices into music instruction
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events as needed

In this role, you’ll earn between $30 and $45 per hour depending on your experience, certification, and degree level.
