5th Grade 6th Grade Gen Ed Teacher - Oak Lawn, IL

You’ll enjoy a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, allowing you to create meaningful connections with your students and watch their skills flourish. With compensation ranging from $37.50 to $46.75 per hour (dependent on your experience, degree, and licensure), your dedication is valued and recognized.

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Art endorsement for grades 5 and 6 (please ensure your current licensure is included in your application)
• Experience delivering direct instruction in a classroom setting
• Skill in administering and grading assessments
• Ability to design engaging, age-appropriate art curriculum
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the 5th/6th grade art classroom, maintaining a positive and productive learning space
• Develop and deliver engaging lessons that encourage artistic exploration and creativity
• Administer, supervise, and grade assessments to monitor student progress
• Adapt teaching methods to serve diverse learning styles and abilities
