Pre K Physical Education Teacher in Oak Lawn, IL

This contract role offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, serving children from Pre-K through 4th Grade. What we’re seeking:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Physical Education endorsement that includes Pre-K through 4th Grade—please ensure your current licensure is clearly detailed in your application
• Strong background in general education or physical education teaching, ideally with grades K–5
• Enthusiasm for designing creative lessons and activities to engage a wide age range
• Proven classroom management abilities to foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment
• Confident in administering, proctoring, and grading assessments to track student progress
• Strong communication and organizational skills

What you’ll do:

• Lead daily PE classes for students in PK–4th Grade
• Develop and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons in physical education
• Foster an environment that encourages active participation, teamwork, and positive attitudes toward physical fitness
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback
• Maintain accurate records, manage classroom routines, and collaborate with school staff
• Support student success and contribute to school initiatives and culture
