The role involves working with a general education student population, and while special education students may be included, they will have dedicated SPED teacher support.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid and active teaching certification/licensure specific to assigned caseload
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum required to obtain emergency teaching permit)
- Demonstrated experience in a school setting, ideally at the middle school level
- Expertise in middle school math content, instructional planning, and formative assessment
- Strong classroom management and behavioral strategies, particularly in urban settings
- Familiarity and comfort with district practices and expectations
- Ability to complete all required Pennsylvania clearances
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite
- Commitment to working onsite, Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week (8:30 AM–4:00 PM)
- Willingness to participate in a Zoom interview
