Key Qualifications:
- Active teacher certification or licensure required for the assigned caseload
- Bachelor’s degree required (to qualify for emergency teaching permit)
- Prior experience working in schools, particularly in urban environments
- Strong classroom management and behavioral intervention skills
- Demonstrated mastery of science subject matter and instructional techniques
- Reliable transportation necessary for onsite attendance
- Ability to work full time onsite, Monday – Friday, between 8:30 AM and 4 PM, without schedule accommodations
- Comfortable navigating district and location-specific expectations
- Completion of all required Pennsylvania clearances
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state and district standards
- Drive classroom instruction through differentiated teaching and regular formative assessments
- Maintain a welcoming, well-managed classroom environment conducive to learning for a diverse student population
- Collaborate with colleagues, including special education teachers, to support all learners
- Utilize strong communication skills to engage with students, staff, and caregivers
- Attend required meetings and participate in ongoing professional development
